March 01, 2012
KAJANG, March 1 — Two toll stops on the Cheras-Kajang Highway will cease to collect from midnight tonight, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak announced today, Bernama Online reported.
The Batu 9 Toll Plaza heading to Kuala Lumpur and the Batu 11 Toll Plaza heading to Kajang, both on the Cheras-Kajang (Grand Saga) Highway, will stop collecting — RM1 and 90 sen respectively.
The Batu 9 Toll Plaza heading to Kajang and the Batu 11 Toll Plaza heading to Kuala Lumpur, will continue to operate as usual.
The move will reduce the toll burden for motorists by 50 per cent. As a person using the full Kajang-Kuala Lumpur route both ways will now pay RM1.90 rather than 3.80 as in the present.
