PM Najib slams Pakatan of ‘empty promises’

Unlike the BN government, Najib says, Pakatan Rakyat makes empty promises to deceive the people.
KABONG: The people cannot live in harmony if they continue to be deceived by the opposition who only know how to make empty promises to gain their support and votes each time there is a general election.
Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak said the opposition could only make empty promises to the people and after achieving their goal, the promises remained unfulfilled because they did not have the capacity to implement them.
“The opposition can promise us many things, and in the 2008 general election they also made many promises in Selangor but today, many of the promises remain unfulfilled,” he said at a gathering of the people with the leader which was attended by about 5,000 residents from around Kabong, here today.
Najib said the opposition was not like the Barisan Nasional government where the leaders would ensure that the rakyat, whether in the urban or rural areas, would benefit from development in a fair and equitable manner.
He said the development agenda adopted by the BN government was not for a short spell but for the long-term or continuous period.
