'Hang Ambiga' remark reflects Umno's culture

YOURSAY 'Saying stupid statements like hanging Ambiga is really despicable and certainly not befitting of any respect from right-thinking Malaysians.'

'Call for Ambiga to be hanged not BN's stance'

your sayGeronimo: If my son hurled abusive language at a neighbour and the latter complains to me, can I give the excuse that it is not my family stand but a personal one involving my son or would I take disciplinary action against my son to protect the good name of my family?

The same applies here. If this is not a stand taken by Umno, then why was Seri Gading MP Mohamad Aziz cheered and applauded by Umno MPs when such a remark was made?

Come on, BN secretary-general Tengku Adnan Mansor. Don't pull wool over our eyes. This is Umno's stand, period - because you have a penchant for violence and it shows in your party's DNA.

Chuath: MIC chief G Palanivel made a clearer comment on the issue, although with a hint to racial alignment, than Tengku Adnan.

What BN did not say is even more important. They did not say that it is not treason against country and king to want fair and transparent elections because it is in accordance to our constitution.

So what is BN's stand on free and clean elections?

I am afraid any loyal citizen of the country, whose ancestors were here to help build the country, would view as serious the many cases of phantom voters and illegals given citizenship.

This issue, and corruption and the security of our citizens, etc, should be addressed and deserved to be dealt with in Parliament.

Why do we always seem to have empty vessels like BN's Mohamad Aziz?

Gerard Lourdesamy: If it is not the stand of BN, shouldn't that rabid dog from Seri Gading be referred to the privileges committee and be suspended from the House?

BN can forget about the Indian votes. It is racist pigs like Mohamad Aziz who have become the face of Umno and not the so-called moderates.

Frankly, most of us are beginning to hate and despise Umno-BN. These sort of comments only prove that we are right to do so.

Hplooi: This is the result of more than 30 years of indoctrination by the government. The mind-set of the Umno Malays is that this is their country and everyone else are here at their pleasure.
The non-Malays who dare to bring up anything legitimate are threatened with ISA ('for their own protection'?), accused of treason, forced to be submissive or just asked to leave the country.

Kairos: Mohamad Aziz is a typical example of the low quality of MPs we have representing BN.

They do not have the capacity to think straight or talk sense. All they know is to parrot what their party wants without sieving out the truth from the false or the right from the wrong.

Saying stupid statements like hanging Bersih co-chairperson S Ambiga is really despicable and certainly not befitting of any respect from right-thinking Malaysians. This kind of MP is only fit for the rubbish bin.

Vgeorgemy: Mohamad Aziz, the rakyat are with you. The rakyat called for an independent investigation into Bersih 3.0, but your leader formed a panel which even a number of his appointees did not want to be associated with it.

Meanwhile, your Umno colleague Nazri Abdul Aziz confirmed that the participants of Bersih 3.0 were carrying dangerous weapons such as water bottle and salt, which can be used to topple the weak Umno-BN government.

Why talk, please proceed to hang Ambiga. Politicians like you will be the reason for Umno's destruction in GE13.

Nneversaydie: If Umno had not given the green light for Mohamad Aziz, would he dare to say such seditious remarks against another person who is from another race, and in this case the Indians?

Considering he is a Umno MP, he surely will have to toe the Umno line before he opened his mouth.

Please don't tell lies - that it is not Umno's culture to threaten to hang another person.

Abasir: This murderous call was the instigation of Umno and Najib. The loud response from Umno MPs in Parliament was most revealing as was the stony silence by PM Najib Razak.

But good will come out of this: the votes of all reasonable Malaysians will go to Pakatan Rakyat and hand-kissers like that MIC leader will lose their deposits.

Louis: "The Umno MP also stressed that he was willing to shed his blood for this nation, drawing a thunderous applause from his fellow backbenchers."

This gesture shows that it is BN's stand. If really it is not their stand, Umno should discipline Mohamad Aziz and condemn his remarks.

Compass: Not a BN stance? The crossing of the barricade during Bersih 3.0 was also not Ambiga's stance. Why sue her?

Was it really a racist persecution against Ambiga then? - Malaysiakini
