Man taken by ‘cops’ goes missing

T Sivaguru was taken from his house eight days ago by "police officers" and he has not been in contact with his family since.
KUALA LUMPUR: Eight men claiming to be police officers “arrested” T Sivaguru @ Mohammad Parhan, 39, at his house in Kepong eight days ago.
His wife Bathulun Nisha, 39, said that she had not seen her husband since he was led away by these so-called plainclothes officers, who came to their house close to midnight.
“I asked ‘which police station [were you taking him to]?’ They said, ‘[We're from] Selangor’,” she told reporters at the MCA headquarters.
She said the eight men came in two Proton cars, one of which had a police sticker. They allegedly told her that her husband was a suspect and arrested him.
One of them also purportedly flashed Bathulun his identity card but she could not see his name as it was too dark at the time.
However, she said that she had not heard from her husband or these “officers” since Sivaguru was taken away.
The incident worried the three-months-married Bathulun, who said that her husband, a contractor had no known enemies or outstanding debts.
She was accompanied by MCA public services and complaints department chief Michael Chong, who also spoke to the media on her behalf.
According to him, Bathulun went to several police stations including the Selangor police headquarters to ask about her husband.
He said that the police did not know about Sivaguru’s whereabouts.
Chong even added that Selangor CID chief Mohd Adnan Abdullah confirmed that they had no record of officers taking in her husband.
“If it’s under the hand of the police, you can say he’s safe. But now it’s not under the police, it could be any other reason. Somebody could have kidnapped him…That is the worst fear,” he said.
He then asked anyone with information on Sivaguru to call MCA at             03-22033888      . Efforts to reach Mohd Adnan were unsuccessful as he was on leave.
