THE BEST RAYA GIFT! Najib and Rosmah visit Kedah

THE BEST RAYA GIFT! Najib and Rosmah visit Kedah
Alor Star-Kamalia Ahmad is a very excited grandmother.
The 50-year-old widow today played host to Datuk Seri Najib Razak when
the prime minister and wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor visited her
modest Malay kampung-style home in Kampung Teloi Tua in Sik, about
90km from here.
Kamaliah, mother of five and grandmother to 10 children, was the first
recipient in Kedah to be picked by Yayasan Felda for the “Kampung
Sejahtera Inspirasi Harmoni” or Kas1h Felda programme.
She will have her house, which she has been living for 28 years,
repaired under the programme.
“Thank you Datuk Seri (Najib Razak)… thank you Felda,” she said.
The prime minister, later, officiated the ground-breaking ceremony for
a road construction project linking Felda Teloi Timur to Kampung
Merbau Kudung, also in Sik.
The 8.9km road, costing about RM50 million, would be ready in 18 months.
Najib and Rosmah are here to join some 15,000 people, including 610
Felda settlers and their families, to launch the national-level
“Rahmat Ramadan” programme at Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Baru Beris
Jaya in Sik near here.
