PM Najib starts Kedah visit by kicking off Umno meet

BALING, Aug 30 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak began his one-day visit to Kedah today by opening the Umno group divisional delegates meeting, here.
The prime minister, who was accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, arrived at the Rakan Muda Complex, Batu 42, about 10.15am to simultaneously open the delegates meeting of the Baling, Sik, Kulim/Bandar Baharu, Sungai Petani, Merbok and Padang Serai divisions.
After the opening, Najib will attend a Hari Raya celebration with the people from Baling and surrounding areas at the same place.
The prime minister will then leave for Alor Setar to attend another Hari Raya event with the people at the grounds of Darul Aman Stadium.
After that, he will visit former Kedah state executive councillor Datuk Zakaria Said who had a stroke, at his house in Bandar Darul Aman, Jitra. — Bernama
