The Najib Strategic Plan and its consequences

Prior to  his ascendancy into power as the Prime Minister of Malaysia, this blog had insisted that  Najib bin Tun Razak clear his  name of all allegations made out against  him in the purchase of the Scorpene Submarines and his alleged involvement in the murder of Altantuya Sharibu or face the possibility of  having  the integrity of the  sacred office he holds compromised.

This blog maintained that if this was not done, the integrity of the office of the Prime Minister would be compromised, and truly enough it seems to be that way now.

His latest attempt to say the "opposition slandered the Armed Forces"  is his usual, useless, overused  rhetoric, attempting  to  take the focus of attention for his alleged  misdeeds away from him and placing it elsewhere, instead of taking the bull by the horns and addressing it at the very first opportunity to clear his name. That is the Najib Strategic Plan.

He failed to do that (clear his name) when there were numerous opportunities for him to.

Why on earth did he not take those opportunities?

It does not take a genius to figure out the answer to that question so I'll leave it unanswered, in order that Hishamuddin bin Hussein Onn - the less intelligent Minister and his close friend Nazri  will not have the benefit of knowing the answer, they may just take it to Rais the orphan.

The RPKOpportunity

The Prime Minister  had many an opportunity to have taken Raja Petra Kamaruddin to court and sue him for all the allegations that that  man made in his posts about the murder of Altantuya Sharibu, if it were any other person of integrity he'd have taken the shirt  off the back RPK to prove himself innocent, instead he chose to remain silent and allow the AG to go for RPK for other reasons, hoping that by keeping mum his integrity would remain intact, but the fact is it is turned out to be just the opposite, even people close to him do not trust him now.

In fact the arrest of Raja Petra's son for all kinds of  offenses  seems to be nothing more than sheer intimidation even if it is not,  to get RPK to relent and stop his criticism of the PM, bringing up the Aaltantuya case, the related Scorpene scandal and the excesses of his plastic Rose.

Raja Petra has now turned his attention elsewhere was this because it was a result of intimidation? Well  may never know.

The PI Bala Opportunity

Then there was the case of a private investigator Bala,  an opportunity stared him in the face in PI Bala's case, he could have pulled Bala into open court and cleared his name, instead Bala has now alleged that his (Najib's)  brother was involved in getting Bala to do otherwise and leave the country,

In that case the authorities had agreed to go to London to interrogate PI Bala (as Bala refused to be interrogated in Malaysia for fear of his life),  the man who made a damming statutory declaration agaisnt Najib and the case of Altantuya Sharibu.

PI Bala was the private investigator hired by Razak Baginda and than these same authorities called off that planned interrogation in London, without any explanation for the same.

PI Bala was alleged to have been forced and bribed to make a Statutory Declaration contradicting everything he had said in the first and then was whisked away to Thailand,  that  second Statutory declaration was made whilst under the custody of the police.

Were they, the authorities  afraid to meet the international press in London had they gone there to do it?

If indeed Najib had nothing to hide he should have  made the authorities go to London and conduct that interrogation there in the full glare of the foreign press to clear his name, it was one of the golden opportunities opened to him.

Why did he not take it?

He would have cleared his name not only in Malaysia but the world over, why did he not do it? If not for himself for the sake of the integrity of the office he holds - The Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Were they afraid of more  international exposure in this case that would  expose Najib and his band of merry men?

Why is Najib not opening himself to scrutiny in the cases?

These cases  are centered around him, these cases involve murder, corruption and even meddling with investigations?

Thereare questions and issues to be raised in  the  purchase of  submarines made whilst he was the minister of defence;

his wife's involvement in that deal,   by virtue that she was involved with Razak Baginda in the Consultancy that was grossly overpaid for "services" in this purchase;

a woman  involved in that case  whom he says he did not know, but which PI Bala now says he has information to prove he did, was murdered in connection with that case;

the wife of Razak Baginda the accused in the case, was crying out aloud in the court the day Razak was charged saying, "why are you charging him!!!! he does not want to be the Prime Minsiter of this country!!!!" and that lady was a Magistrate, why that outburst, why bring the office of the PM into that issue?;

and in an unprecedented move the judge who handled the case initially  was removed from the case,
and it was the only case in which both the prosecution and defence found common ground in not wanting to allow questions about  the disappearance of Altantuya Sharibu's immigration records.

Who were they protecting?

That Bala was whisked off this country  under very suspicious circumstances after retracting his earlier SD and then issuing another one to contradict what had earlier been said, whilst in Police custody leaves a lot to be answered.

Najib  should take a leaf from the Singapore government on such issues, the minute such an allegation is made they'd go for the person concerned and sue the pants off him, they have done it so many times and that is what gives Singapore such high integrity ratings.

What has happened is that the Malaysians at large have judged him, they do not believe him,  his integrity seems to be in tatters and believe me that is no problem, if it is only the integrity of Najib bin Tun Razak, but when it is the Office of the Prime Minister of Malaysia it is a huge problem.

The Intimidation of Suaram & The Scorpene Opportunity

Suaram who have been keeping the Malaysian public informed on the going ons in the French courts about the purchase of these submarines have been silenced by  intimidation. They've brought in the bogeyman.

He can't claim that  he did not silence them, he is the PM of the country every entire government machinery in  the country is subjected to his orders and so if an agency of his government, a minister or a ministry  decides to take unusual measures to silence Suaram he is responsible for it. That is responsibility.

Again at the hearings in Paris he refused to go to give testimony, if indeed there was no case to answer he should have taken that as the opportunity to go clear his name again he let it go by.

Surely the findings of a French court would  have put the case beyond doubt.

The issue here for every Malaysian is beyond doubt to whose benefit?  Najib's?

Najib  might be wondering and he probably knows it would have been put beyond doubt and that would have answered his allegation of the opposition slandering the armed forces for all sorts of reasons in this particular case.

Using Bogeymen for dual purposes?

George Soros is the Bogeyman, and a bogeyman is he, the creation of Mahathir Mohammed the man famous for blaming anyone and everyone for his failures,  but alas Najib and his godfather Mahathir bin Mohammed have failed to realise that the electorate is made up of adults, not mere children, that the man in the Kampong is now reachable by phone, by the Internet an so the channels of  communication has become so much more effective, people  do not rely on the government mass media so much as they used to, with each lie told at least 5,000 people lose confidence in this media and which each lie told each day 5,000 more turn of the their radios, the news bulletins and the newspapers, now with these sources you can't pull wool over the eyes of the masses..

Gone are the days of the Orang Minyak, the Pontianak, bogeymen can't even frighten our kids they have seen it all and learned about it from the net, so who are you trying to fool.

And less they do not know the whole of Malaysia knows that Mahathir had a very cordial meeting with George Soros after having accused him of the destruction of the Malaysian economy.

Najib had a secret meeting with George Soros  in New York it could not have been a casual meeting as Najib was accompanied by another minister to that meeting, it certainly could not  have been to seek financing to purchase a ring for Rosmah, or could it?

In the Star (September 18) Najib is reported to have said, " the Company that sold us the submarines belonged to the French Government and the price quoted was standard price, unfortunately the issue was politicised...."  That being the case all the more why Najib should  have gone to Paris to give testimony in the present case about these submarines. Why did he choose not to.? He should have gone there to clear the ministry he was in charge of when the alleged offense was committed.

So,  was it his name that was slandered or the Armed forces?

Why was he not brave enough to go to the rescue the good name of the armed forces or rather his name?

Would the evidence he might have given  prove that what he is now saying is not true? When you choose not to give evidence the only inference one can make is that if you did it would  be prejudicial to your own case.

The questions on the minds of every Malaysian should be;

Why is this PM so afraid to call for the elections?

He has been the longest serving  PM by default, why is he stalling the next elections?

Can he clearly look Anwar in the eye and debate with him the integrity in the office of the PM?

Can we risk our country to a man who answers only to himself and conveniently shifts the focus using  the government controlled mass media to hide all these misdeeds?

He should stop all this and call for the elections without any further delay, there are more corruption cases to be revealed and the people just can't wait to kick the BN out once and for all, but he knows that within the ranks of his own party there is so much dissent, in today's Star he is talking about taking action against those who betray the party, the clearest indication that there are so many that even he does not know who they are.

Some of those who are planning his downfall could have been sitting at the very meeting he chaired, and he knows that too, and  today that has become the culture of an organisation  so steeped in its own corrupt practices that are too many crooks you can tell who the heroes are, even if there were  any.

Now can we trust a party that does not trust its chief and itself. If he had any confidence in UMNO he would have Abdullah had gone stood for open competition against Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, but he was too chicken he had to use the safeguards put there by Mahathir to safeguard they dynasty they are now building.
