All BN candidates clean - nice try, Tengku Adnan
VOXPOP 'He, for one, should first answer whether he had been cleared by the law enforcement agencies over his role in the Lingamgate scandal.'
Sec-gen: All BN candidates for GE free of graft and crime
Tholu: I believe that there is not a single person in the BN leadership who is not involved/implicated in some form of corruption and abuse of power.
The act of BN secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor in announcing that all BN candidates for the 13th general election have been found to be free of corruption and other crimes, speaks for itself the shameless lies and cover-ups of BN's unscrupulous, unethical and criminal acts.
He, for one, should first answer whether he had been cleared by the law enforcement agencies such as the police and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over his role in the Lingamgate scandal.
But then again, everyone knows that these agencies are ‘protectors' of the political leaders in their wrongdoings rather than investigating and charging them in the courts.
LittleGiant: And now, Tengku Adnan, can you show us the full list of all the 222 parliamentary candidates and 505 state assembly candidates?
It would help us to know if the MACC and the police did really a "clean job" of vetting all the 727 candidates or if they were "instructed" to merely put their approval rubber stamp on the list provided by their political masters in BN.
iMust: Is this declaration that all BN candidates are cleared of graft and corruption credible to the rakyat?
Elements of doubt are immediately raised when Sarawak CM Abdul Taib Mahmud name is mentioned as well as carpet trader Deepak Jaikishan's recent allegations against the prime minister and his family members.
Imraz Ikhbal: MACC has a way better chance at convincing us if they were to investigate the top brothel in Pattaya only to declare that all the sex workers there are virgins.
That in my opinion is far more believable than the likes of Taib Mahmud and our very own premier being corruption free.
Nice try, Tengku Adnan, but not all in this country are idiots to inhale whatever garbage you excrete.
Anonymous #85701391: This is a very interesting development in Umno-BN. If Tengku Adnan is telling the truth, that means these "cleared" persons have been selected as " winnable candidates" come what may.
So, is it not an opportune time for each of these "cleared" candidates to do a statutory declaration on their personal and family wealth before nomination date?
This action will provide further proof that Umno-BN is finally changing for the better by preparing a new group of "untainted" leaders to take over from the present group of "corrupted" leaders.
Lim Chong Leong: This is obviously a big lie. Only Umno can proclaim that all their candidates are free of crime or graft.
No party in the world can give such a guarantee because they will never truly know their candidates. It is just not realistic to know for sure such matters. So who are they kidding?
