MALACCA- The only one who will be hit by a tornado this coming General Election is Lim Kit Siang, said state Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam.
He said this in response to Lim's prediction that a political tornado would hit Malacca, Johor and Negeri Sembilan in the upcoming elections which would wreak havoc on BN.
Lim had said this during a Pakatan Rakyat ceramah at Taman Semabok Perdana, here, tonight.
Mohd Ali dismissed Lim's claim and made his own prediction, saying the 13th General Election would be Lim's last elections.
"Lim has been around since Tunku Abdul Rahman's time, so I think it is about time he retired from politics as it has been much too long.
"Perhaps on May 5, Gelang Patah will be where his political career ends," he told reporters after attending a dinner with the Malacca Businessmen non-governmental organisation at New Lagoon Restaurant here tonight.
Mohd Ali added that the support for BN from the Chinese community in the state was still going strong.
"Their response to BN candidates while on their rounds have been positive, so this is a good sign," he said.
