Bung Moktar tells AirAsia X CEO to migrate
PARLIAMENT A BN MP has told AirAsia X CEO Azran Osman Rani to “migrate to a country of his choice” following the latter’s statements criticising Utusan Malaysia over the daily’s racially provocative editorials after the election.
“People like this do not deserve to be in this country. I ask him to migrate to a country that he likes,” said Bung Moktar Radin (BN-Kinabatangan, left) while debating the motion of thanks on the royal address in the Dewan Rakyat today.
However, speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia intercepted as Bung Moktar began criticising Azran, pointing out that was “not proper” to criticise someone “who can’t defend themselves”.
“Don’t abuse your privilege as an elected representative to say things as you like. Please confine your debate to the issue,” he said.
However, Bung Moktar persisted with his attack on Azran, calling him "Melayu biadap" (insolent Malay) after an exchange with Khalid Samad (PAS-Shah Alam).
“He (Azran) forgets that his existence in this country is because of the stability of the country which has given him the opportunity to do business,” Bung Mokhtar said.
He said that Azran’s warning to withdraw AirAsia X advertisements from Utusan Malaysia was a “serious threat”.
“Utusan Malaysia is not the voice of the Malays, it is the voice of Umno,” Khalid Samad later said.
