Jasbir Singh Chahl, who caused a stir recently when he revealed that murdered Mongolian beauty Altantuya Shaariibuu was not party to the Scorpene deal, was sacked as the consultant and negotiator in the procurement of two submarines.
Abdul Razak Baginda came into the picture after Jasbir was sacked, said Suaram in a press conference today.
Jasbir then filed a RM50 million suit against Abdul Razak which was eventually settled out of court, said Suaram executive director Cynthia Gabriel.
She added that Jasbir, who is a witness in the on-going inquiry in Paris, did not disclose in full what he knew in the interview with the New Straits Times.
