'100-day report on Hindraf-BN alliance out soon'

Persatuan Hindraf Malaysia has announced that it will soon publish a 100-day report card on the outcome of its alliance with the BN.

This will coincide with the 100th day of the appointment of its chief P Waythamoorthy as a senator and Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, said its national adviser N Ganesan in a statement today.

“In return for BN’s commitment to the terms of the agreement, Hindraf urged all the Indians in the country to vote BN in for another five years.

“Now it is BN’s time for payback and we, who represent the Indian poor and marginalised on whose behalf we signed the agreement, are preparing to submit the first of our public reports back to the people...,” he said.

NONEGanesan (right) was referring to the memorandum of understanding the association signed with BN which outlined a five-year plan to address the plight of the Indian poor.

“The report will be factual. It will include what has been done, what has been accomplished, what is in the works, and what some of the challenges we have had to face in the period,” he said.

Ganesan added that the report will also put to rest speculations about the progress of the blueprint and allow the rakyat to hold both sides accountable.

He said the first report is slated to be published on Sept 12, 2013 and further reports will also be presented periodically.
