BUKIT MERTAJAM - A factory worker was detained after his wife complained he had sodomised her last Wednesday.
The 29-year-old suspect was picked up after his wife, also 29, lodged a report at the Bukit Mertajam police station a day after the alleged incident.
In her report, the victim, a nurse at a private haemodialysis centre here, claimed her husband had forced his fingers inside her anus before inserting his penis.
She complained of difficulties in passing motion after the alleged unnatural sex act.
The nurse has since undergone medical examination and doctors have confirmed tears in her anus.
She also claimed her husband had committed the same acts twice last year.
She had delayed in lodging a report against her husband, a garment factory worker, for fear of repercussions to their marriage.
