Noor Syafikah laid to rest

ALOR STAR: The remains of 14-year old Noor Syafikah Nadia Rosdi, who was found dead after she went missing on Friday, was laid to rest today at the Alor Semela Muslim cemetery after the Asar prayers today.

More than 100 relatives and friends attended at the funeral which was held about 5pm.
 
Her body was found slumped in an abandoned padi field at Alor Senibong by the villagers about 3.45pm yesterday after she left her home with her two younger sisters Nur Izzati Husna, 12, and three-year-old Puteri Nurul Akma.
 
Post mortem later revealed she died of drowning. Police also said that there were no signs of rape or abuse.
 
The bodies of her two younger sisters were found nearly 24 hours later, floating in an irrigation canal in Kampung Padang Petani in Langgar at 4pm today.
   
Their bodies were later sent to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital and the post-mortem is expected to be held tomorrow morning.
 
Kedah police later said they were investigating the deaths of the three sisters as homicide.
