KOTA KINABALU - Kota Kinabalu radio listeners have got a fresh voice to tune into on Radio Kota Kinabalu FM (KKfm) at frequency 91.1 in the area.
The local radio channel here yesterday introduced a new disc jockey (DJ), Othoe with his show “Atukoi Pagi KK” that will air on the KKfm channel, Monday to Saturday from 6am to 10am.
This is in addition to existing segments such as Zon Kampus with DJs Alvin Yunus and Nizz airing at 10am to 1pm, every Monday to Saturday.
The radio channel also airs an English segment, “Hott Hytz” with DJs AbyFeebs and Harold from 1pm to 4pm, on Monday and Tuesdays.
Other segments include “Carta Pilihan KK” and “Carta Orang Kita” with DJ Grer from 8pm to 12am on Friday and Saturdays, which introduces listeners to local Sabahan music and Pilihan KK, with DJ Enn Xaviera from 8pm to 12am on Monday.
The “Ampai-Ampai Krew” segment featuring DJs Ramli Carlo and Felix Agus airs from 4pm to 8pm, on Monday.
The KKfm road show here yesterday at Palm Square, Centre Point further introduced the public to various Sabahan artists including Francis Landong, Melvin POP, S Welly, Sitipah, and Kadazandusun artist, Rushdy Raphael and the Sabah Creative Industry Group Movement (SCIGM).
Yesterday also marked the launch of the KKfm Fanclub which is made up of university students from the area such as University Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Universiti Teknologi MARA, and Kota Kinabalu Polytechnic.
The campus radio station also known as Radio University Sabah Malaysia broadcasts from Chancellor building of UMS and is for those within the surrounding city area. Radio KKfm is available on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/911kkfm.
