TERROR TACTICS? Cops hold woman at her home at 1am over alleged insult to S'gor Sultan
SHAH ALAM - A 27-year-old woman who allegedly posted seditious comments against the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, in a weblog was questioned by police today.
Police said the woman was held at her house in Kajang at 1am and is being probed for sedition.
Shah Alam police chief ACP Azisman Alias said the woman was quizzed by investigators before being released on bail in the evening.
"We are examining her statement and may call up several others to assist in the investigations," he said.
A pro-government weblog had uploaded excerpts of the seditious comments taken from the woman's Facebook page last week.
The contents had drawn the attention of the Selangor royalty and a police report was lodged by Sultan Sharafuddin's aide-de-camp, who is a police assistant superintendent (ASP).
The comments were related to the use of the word "Allah". - The Sundaily
