According to Department of Environment as at 6am today, the ‘unhealthy’ are Port Klang (137),Banting (130), Shah Alam (125), Petaling Jaya (123), Kuala Selangor (110) - all in Selangor - and Batu Muda (112) in Kuala Lumpur and nearbyNilai (108) in Negeri Sembilan.
According to the department’s Air Pollutant Index (API), a reading of 0-50 denotes good air quality; 51-100 (moderate); 101-200 (unhealthy); 201-300 (very unhealthy); above 301 (hazardous to human health).
