A Stomper sent in a CCTV footage showing a woman walking off with her missing laptop at an IMM cafe after pretending to ask for directions to the customer service counter.
According to the Stomper, the woman had approached one of the workers at the cafe saying she would like to return the laptop. However, she never showed up at the counter.
The incident took place at about 3pm yesterday (April 21).
The Stomper said:
"I was having lunch with my family in the afternoon yesterday (April 21) at IMM mall and accidentally left my laptop at a cafe.
"I had placed it on a seat and forgot to take it with me.
"Half an hour later, I rushed back to the cafe to look for it after I realised I had not taken my laptop along.
"My laptop, however, was no longer there."
According to the Stomper, she had lodged a police report and saw the cafe's CCTV footage. She also spoke to the workers at the cafe about the incident.
She said:
"From the CCTV footage, a woman had apparently pretended to ask one of the workers for directions to return my laptop to the customer service counter.
"However, the staff at the customer service counter claimed they have not seen her approaching the counter.
"The CCTV footage clearly shows that this lady had walked away with my laptop.
"I really need my laptop urgently for my studies. I hope that anyone who recognises her can let me know immediately."
