MH17 chief stewardess’ teen tweets anger at Raya without mum

"Stop asking me to be strong. It's so hard to do. But you make it sound so easy," said Nur Diyana Yazeera Yezli, 15, on microblogging site Twitter just before her first Hari Raya without her mother Dora Shahila Kassim, who died in the flight MH17 crash 11 days ago.

Nur Diyana, who had taken to Twitter to express her anger, grief and pain at her loss since the July 17 incident, said via @DiyanaYazeera that Hari Raya would no longer be the same without her mother.

"Mummy, this year's raya and the upcoming ones, well will not be raya. I’m not gonna celebrate it without you.

"Because everyone else is celebrating raya with their parents. And i'm celebrating with the news. Raya will just be another normal day. No excitement in that," she said in one tweet, adding that she had an asthma attack last night.

The teenager is the only daughter of MH17's chief stewardess Dora, who was among 298 on board the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777-200ER, which was shot down over eastern Ukraine on July 17. 

She had previously called her mother her "superhero", vowing to keep her mother's legacy alive, and saying that she would not allow anyone to forget.

Today, she said she was feeling anger seeing families celebrating Hari Raya together.

"I get mad seeing everybody with their families celebrating raya. I know im being unfair. But im just saying," she said in her tweet.

Dora, a single mother, was among 15 crew members who died in the disaster. There were 43 Malaysians on board flight MH17, which was struck by a surface-to-air missile, purportedly fired by pro-Russian rebels. 

Nur Diyana met with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor for three hours last Saturday at Seri Perdana and took to Twitter to record the meeting.

"Just got back from the Prime Minister's house. He personally took the time to sit down with me and gave good advice. And I thank you."

Another read: "'We are going to take care of you. No matter what.' – Datuk Seri Najib and family".

She also posted several photographs of the meeting, including one of Najib bending over to inspect the iPad he had bought for her, before tweeting to thank him for having her at his home.
