Pay review on the cards for Selangor MB, excos, speaker and deputy

It will cover the posts of menteri besar, the executive council members, the speaker and the deputy speaker of the assembly.
It is status quo for the state assemblypersons as the quantum they are receiving was deemed appropriate.
Former menteri besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and the exco then proposed a salary hike of nearly 400%, and it was passed by the legislative assembly in November last year.
With the increase, exco members earned 231% more a month, from RM6,109.29 to RM20, 250. The menteri besar earned 106.4% more a month, from RM14,175 to RM29,250.
The speaker and deputy speaker received a monthly pay increase of 268% and 373% each, totalling RM22,500 for the speaker and RM15,750 for the deputy.
Assemblypersons received an 87% hike, from RM6,000 a month to RM11,250. – October 1, 2014.
