Umno assembly: A CIRCUS FULL OF CLOWNS

Umno assembly: A CIRCUS FULL OF CLOWNS
I do not get the opportunity to observe the ongoing Umno general assembly but based on what have been reported, the only description that could be made in a few words is that it is a gathering of clowns. Yes, the circus is in town.
In the reports, there are no conclusive and practical things that could be implemented to improve the Malays, the country and rest of the citizens.
There is nothing that could feasibly be implemented to improve the economy, education, healthcare, industry, education, judiciary, law and order, security or the general welfare of the people either.
There is also nothing that could be achieved to improve the social and political situation in our country.
But the most obvious and damning thing is that there is nothing solid to improve Umno!
Those giving their speeches are acting like clowns, with no real substance and without any serious thoughts, let alone any bright ideas.
They are just clowning around, to become the laughing stock of not only the entire nation, but of the international observers.
Yet when Datuk Seri Najib Razak reprimanded the Selangor Umno just recently, the rest in other states should take heed and be serious about improving Umno.
But what have been happening in the present assembly are people who are out of touch with the critical stage of Umno under Najib.
Khairy Jamaluddin with his immature conclusion on questioning Malay rights based on a few tweets, is a gone case.
Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil demanded a better post for herself in Umno despite the “cow and condo” scandal.
The permanent chairman opened his mouth just to show that he has something to say about “jihad”.
Johor Umno Datuk Dr Adham Baba does not realise what hit him on the failures of the New Economic Policy and continue asking the government to help the Bumiputras via the MEB (New Economic Model).
He is just asking the government to change two alphabets and hope some miracle will happen.
The Permatang Pauh Umno division chairman Datuk Mohd Zaid Mohd Said, on the other hand, is saying that the grape is sour, forgetting who is in charge of all illegal activities if not the police?
And who is in charge of the police if not Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi? Why blame Lim Guan Eng for Zahid not doing his work?
Datuk Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz of Kelantan Umno said the opposition was "jealous" of 1Malaysia Development Berhad's (1MDB) successes, but the fact is, he does not know what he is talking about.
If he is really sure and confident on the successes of 1MDB, then he should have attended the forum discussing the issue and convince the real audience and not in front of the rest of the clowns in the circus arena at PWTC.
Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek must have woken up from the wrong side of his bed or may have forgotten to take his medicine when he said that Barisan Nasional can fulfil the Chinese’s needs. Does he not realise the various Chinese bashing in the assembly?
Some in Umno want all vernacular schools be abolished and boycott Chinese businesses. How blinkered is his senses not to notice that very few in Umno like the Chinese.
To strengthen the party but without any good ideas and desperate to be relevant, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin wants to woo PAS to join Umno by indirectly saying that it is Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, not PAS, who is the real threat.
Now, the chief clown or the Joker is none other than Umno president himself. Rather than thinking of something and coming up with a grand master plan to strengthen and improve Umno and the Malays: like eradicate corrupt practices, stop cronyism, nepotism and be good practising honourable Muslims and stop blaming others for the faults of Umno, he decided to make a U-turn on the Sedition Act and strengthen it in order to protect the Malays (read Umno)!
This utter nonsense will continue until the end of the assembly and they will repeat the same show next time.
Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is right: there are no more intelligent people in Umno. –TMI
