A Malay grouping claims the Prime Minister's Office has appointed it to meet with a group of 25 prominent Malays who had asked for a rational dialogue on Islam, even as Datuk Seri Najib Razak remains silent over the issue.
Majlis Perundingan Melayu (MPM) or Malay Consultative Council secretary-general Datuk Dr Hasan Mad said they would have a closed-door meeting with the G25 but refused to give further details.
"The Prime Minister's Office has asked us to be the intermediaries, the date has not been set because they are still on holidays," Hasan said in Selangor capital city Shah Alam today.
