In PERAK, the flood situation in Perak Tengah, Kuala Kangsar, Hulu Perak and Kerian as of this morning shows an increase in the number of flood victims, to 7,748 people (2,066 families), from 7,577 people (2,022 families) last night.
According to a spokesman at the Perak National Security Council, Manjung is the latest area to be hit by the floods where 36 victims (five families) from Lekir have been evacuated to a relief centre.
The number of flood victims in Perak Tengah, which is worst affected, totalled 4,891 people, followed by Kuala Kangsar (1,706), Hulu Perak (794) and Kerian (321).
In JOHOR, the number of flood victims has risen to 172 people from 42 families in Batu Pahat, Segamat, as at 8 am today.
In KELANTAN, no new update on the flood victims was obtained as at 10 am today. Last night, the number of flood victims recorded was 110,747 people from 28,880 families at 255 evacuation centres.
The number of flood victims in PAHANG has dropped to 51,356 people, from 51,484 people last night. They are at 254 evacuation centres in eight districts.
A spokesman at the Pahang police flood operations room said most of the evacuees were in Temerloh, involving 21,303 people at 65 centres.
The other districts affected are Pekan, with 11,926 flood victims, Jerantut (5,328), Maran (3,352), Kuantan (3,402), Bera (3,061), Lipis (2,818) and Rompin (166).
The flood water in TERENGGANU is receding and the number of flood evacuees has dropped to 15,975 people this morning, from 24,894 people last night.
According to the Terengganu National Security Council portal, the evacuees comprise 9,046 people in Kemaman, followed by Dungun (6,713), Kuala Terengganu (201) and Hulu Terengganu (15).
