Looks can be deceiving so Malaysians are hoping against hope that the woman in the picture isn’t the woman we think she is.
Rumours are rife that while PM Najib Razak trudged home after cutting short his Hawaii golfing vacation, Rosmah Mansor chose to stay back, instead of accompanying her husband on his visits to areas devastated by the flood and to strategise on relief efforts.
According to the website where the photo was posted, this woman was spotted in the Thai capital recently – and since Najib has remained tight-lipped about his wife’s whereabouts, this might just get many more tongues wagging.
In a commentary FMT carried this morning, it was stated that commenters and critics across the social sphere have been intrigued no end by the fact that the aircraft carrying the couple remained in the US while the Prime Minister rushed home in a military plane to deal with the flood crisis.
This alone has made many come to the conclusion that it must be Rosmah Mansor, who was on board the flight, probably indulging her allegedly infamous penchant for extravagant shopping and travel.
While the Prime Minister’s Office has tried to pass off the aircraft’s “disappearance” as a maintenance issue, many simply do not buy this explanation and now with this photo making its rounds in cyberspace, it has added to the intrigue surrounding her absence.
