Police raid PKR HQ over #KitaLawan material

Police raided the PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya today, purportedly to look for materials related to the #KitaLawan protest movement.

Six police officers are currently at the party headquarters, and have PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli with them to look for the materials, a statement issued by the party's communications unit said.

Rafizi is accompanied by lawyer Manivanan Gowin, it added.

PKR legal head Latheefa Koya said the police were at the PKR headquarters to get a copy of a circular Rafizi had issued to party members to attend the #KitaLawan Rally yesterday.

“There is no reason to raid the office. The police already have a copy of the circular. We are puzzled why there is a need to go to the office when the circular is public knowledge,” she told The Malaysian Insider.
