PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli is the latest leader hauled up over the anti-GST rally held on Workers Day yesterday.
Rafizi said in a WhatsApp message he would have to turn up at the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters by 10am and face arrest like others who were taken into custody yesterday over the rally.
The Pandan MP said last night that he was told to present himself to the police in relation to Section 143 of the Penal Code over the Workers Day rally.
"I will go tomorrow at 10am and most probably will be detained like others," he said.
Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad has also been asked to turn up at the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters today. He said he has to be present at Dang Wangi by 2.30pm today.
Khalid had presented a short speech in front of the National Mosque yesterday.
Police began arresting protesters opposing the goods and services tax (GST) yesterday, including lawyer and rights activist Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan.
The former president of the Malaysian Bar had gone to the Dang Wangi station at 9.30pm yesterday, and had said that she was shocked to be summoned, given that she had only spoken a few words at the start of the rally.
Lawyers for Liberty co-founder Eric Paulsen said yesterday besides Ambiga, four others were summoned by police.
They were  DAP's Anthony Loke, #KitaLawan secretariat member Fariz Musa, Parti Sosialis Malaysia secretary-general S. Arutchelvan and Bersih 2.0 secretariat officer Mandeep Singh.
Lawyer Michelle Yesudas also tweeted that she was waiting outside the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters to see 20 protesters who had been detained.
At 10.40pm, a police truck arrived at the Dang Wangi station, where a group of people had gathered in solidarity for Ambiga and others detained.
Police are expected to seek remand orders today.
