KUALA LUMPUR: President of the United States Barack Obama will make a second visit to Malaysia in November as a dialogue partner in the 27th Asean Economic Summit.
Obama made an official visit to Malaysia on April 26 last year and became the first serving US president to do so since Lyndon B Johnson in 1966.
The US president has turned his attention to Asia as part of his policy because of the region’s growing economic strength.
His second visit in two years can be seen as proof of his interest in the region and particularly Malaysia as the chairman of Asean.
According to Malaysian ambassador to the US Dr Awang Adek Hussin, his full agenda of the visit is being prepared.
