Res Ipsa: In all honesty, this may just be the beginning of the end of the reign of PM Najib Razak.
He appears not to care a damn about the royal decree to address and resolve the 1MDB financial mess. In retaliation, he reduces the budget in respect of allowances payable to the royalty.
The Umno grassroots are gradually beginning to ponder the pros and cons of allowing Najib to continue helming the party.
Now surely Najib would be fearing how many more of such Umno branches will be coming out into the open to ask him to go with the view of saving the party.
This would then bring us to his mother of all fears - whether the motion of no confidence submitted by the opposition would succeed if it gets to be tabled in Parliament for some reason or the other.
Let's keep our fingers crossed and watch the drama unfold.
Pemerhati: In an interview with The Guardian last week, Mahathir accused Najib of driving 1MDB to the ground by using bribery.
He further added, “If you bribe with a few dollars, I suppose it doesn’t work, but if you give [money] to a person who has never seen a million ringgit, he will turn around.”
In view of the various revelations so far from reliable sources like The Wall Street Journal and Sarawak Report, it is hard not to agree with what Mahathir said to the British newspaper.
It was revealed recently that the top Umno leaders have received from Najib amounts ranging from RM1 to RM2 million ringgit. But there would be many ordinary or low-ranking Umno members who would have got nothing or comparatively very little.
It is likely that quite a number of people in this category are now coming out with statements critical of Najib and hoping that Najib would take notice of them and give them some of his loot.
Hopefully, there are also some principled Umno members who are truly outraged.
Trueglitter: Clearly, all is not lost in salvaging the Malay pride and dignity, given the righteous and courageous act by the 13 Umno Negri Sembilan branches to unanimously call on Najib to quit as president.
Acknowledging the apparent adverse impact of such an unprecedented undertaking would have on the hierarchy of Umno, the courageous decision of those gallant members should be resoundly applauded, as their ennobled decision could be opening the floodgates for other branches to follow suit.
History will be kind to those pioneering few who, even in the face of apparent disciplinary intimations cum threats of expulsion from the party by their obnoxious leadership, they have stayed the course and earned the pride of recognition for saving the party and the nation from a corrupt and power-abusive Najib.
It is opportune that citizens and politicians from the racial divides come together and be the emboldened catalyst to create the desired impetus to rid Najib of his premiership.

Yes, there is a lot of anger, frustration, anxiety and uncertainty over certain issues that have been weighting on the minds of the people. Having said that, this is not the worst crisis that the party has faced.
The president is currently not so well-liked by the grassroots who have ingested Mahathir's poison.
However, the prime minister has denied any wrongdoing and claimed that Mahathir was part of a conspiracy, which included these 13 Negri Sembilan Umno branches that have called on him to quit as party president.
Please give full support to PM to continue leading our nation.

The current administration has failed and failed miserably. Banishing Umno-BN to opposition status is the least that the people should do.

Loyalty is a noble trait that even gods envy, but when those who lead betray their trust, abuse their power and steal from the children of tomorrow, you must think of greater loyalties - to the nation, your children and what 100 years from now, history will say of you.
Turn away now and you will be shamed forever.
Voice: The ‘RAHMAN prophecy’ has been so far impressive. If we believe in this prophecy, the last PM from Umno will be Najib. Consequently, the next one will not from Umno.
So, if Najib steps down now, the replacement will be from Umno. Thus, according to the prophecy, any attempt to get Najib to step down will be unsuccessful. Even former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad has conceded this fact.
The only way to save the day for the opposing side in Umno is to break away and form another party and work with Pakatan Harapan. Umno no longer commands sizeable support within the Malay community. Its non-Malay support is as good as gone.
Pakatan Harapan will become new BN and who will be new PM will be up the consensus among its coalition members. As we know, in politics anything can happen.
