AS EXPECTED, KU NAN OPINES 'ONLY NAJIB' NEED SPEAK ON LAST DAY OF AGM

KUALA LUMPUR - Umno’s supreme council will decide during its meeting next Wednesday night on who will be allowed to speak during the party assembly winding up session.
This follows questions over whether deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will be allowed to address delegates during the last day of the upcoming assembly.
Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said that in his personal opinion only party president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak should be allowed to speak.
“For the winding up, in my opinion it’s enough to only have the party president speak on that day, no need for others.
“This is my opinion, so for an official decision, wait until the supreme council meets,” Tengku Adnan told a media briefing, when asked whether an official decision had been made on who will be allowed to speak.
Muhyiddin has reportedly claimed that he has been barred from addressing delegates next Saturday, which is the last day of the five-day assembly that begins on Tuesday.
Najib will open the Umno assembly next Thursday with a total of 5,732 delegates attending.
