Playing poker with Kevin Morais' 'pen drive'

YOURSAY l ‘Why is his brother Charles playing ‘hide and seek’ with it?’
Vijay47: I had been sure that the brother of murdered deputy public prosecutor Kevin Anthony Morais, Charles, would have given a copy of the pen drive to his lawyer, Americk Sidhu.
My bad. It's also alleged that "everything Kevin told Charles on the phone would be put in a pen drive."
What does this mean? There is definitely a ‘Kevin’ pen drive, sent by courier to Charles. What Charles may have done, to complete the package, was to include his conversations with Kevin as a separate qualified appendix.
Since he, the maker of the ‘amended’ pen drive, would be able to explain the position, I am not sure that the validity of the original contents of the pen drive would be compromised.
Further, perhaps Charles deliberately did not give Americk a copy so that when our heroic IGP (inspector-general of police) comes out with all guns blazing, as he is prone to do with foot firmly in mouth, Americk could honestly say "I don't know what is in the pen drive".
That should be enough to spoil the IGP's day even more.
Anonymous_1421406986: So it is not a pen drive prepared by Kevin but what he had communicated to you (Charles)? So the pen drive has Charles' input? This is going to make things even more interesting.
Frankly, I wish Americk well as your defence lawyer. I hope your statutory declaration won't get torn to shreds by the prosecutors.
Tailek: The alleged pen drive was prepared by Kevin. Kevin sent the pen drive containing incriminating information to Charles.
Charles is not a coward. He could easily have sworn in his SD (statutory declaration) in the safety of his home in Atlanta where the long arm of the Malaysian police cannot reach.
But he chose to do it in Kuala Lumpur and he could quite easily have been detained when he exited the country.
The real cowards are those in the know about this whole sorry affair but choose to keep mum about it.
Insurgent: Why play ‘hide and seek’ on this issue? If it is true that Charles has the pen drive. he should have already filed a suit.
He has since run back to America. For what purpose did he create this issue? The answer is with Charles.
As long as he wants to play like this, I don't think that this case will be resolved soon.
Narthank: In order to gain publicity and to attract more readers, the media misinterpreted the original statements. They should confirm the facts first before conveying their reports to the public.
If proven true, the late Kevin can be considered to be at fault because he gave classified information to an unauthorised person (Charles).
Scandalcountry: Khairuddin Abu Hassan, Mathias Chang and Charles Morais are not saboteurs. The IGP should go after the real saboteurs who are destroying the country.
Shouldn't he send the police to the US and take a statement from Charles?
Pening_Confused: Couldn’t Charles pass the pen drive to the police in US? Sorry, my legal knowledge is hopeless. But would that help to get things moving?
My Opinion: Former attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail has neither admitted nor denied the existence of the charge sheet.
He should realise by now he will die sooner or later. It is better for him to spill the beans before it is too late.
Anonymous_4031c: It's preposterous and hogwash and merely a conspiracy theory without substance as the authorities have repeatedly said of Charles's expose.
There shouldn't be any worry whether the pen drive exists or not and even if it does, it's pure rubbish.
So Charles should either be the hero in the fight for justice or take flight to the land of the eagle and perch on a redwood tree. The choice is clear, unless he is perfecting the art of fishing with a pen drive.
Justice Pao: The moment Charles releases the pen drive and the contents are known, those involved will do whatever it takes to discredit the information.
Just like what was done in the case of Xavier Andre Justo and PetroSaudi International. Charles' life might be in danger. It is best to keep the crooks guessing.
Notsoshiningarmour: On no account Americk should have been called in by the police.
He is Charles’ lawyer and the police will be very unprofessional if they chose to extract information from Americk as there is a relationship with his client that he needs to protect.
BernieBaby: Altantuya Shaariibuu was blown to bits, Kevin was cemented in a drum. Do we really think an army doctor could have allegedly ordered Kevin's execution?
I hope that the pen drive does exist and has enough information to put the culprits away. -Mkini
