RM1.9m suit by Bala's widow rejected by Federal Court

The Federal Court today dismissed the appeal by private investigator P Balasubramaniam's widow A Santamil Selvi and two others.
She was appealing to reinstate her RM1.9 million suit against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, his wife Rosmah Mansor and five others.
The Court of Appeal earlier rejected her appeal to review the High Court's decision to strike out her suit.
A three-member Federal Court bench led by Md Raus Sharif ruled in its unanimous decision that cannot allow the amendment.
"Hence the application is dismissed," Justice Md Raus said.
The Federal Court also ordered Santamil to pay RM10,000 as costs to Najib and Rosmah and RM10,000 to each of the other five defendants.
The High Court in Kuala Lumpur on Dec 11, 2014, without a full hearing, ‎struck out the RM1.9 million suit PI Bala’s widow filed against Najib, Rosmah and seven others.
Justice Hasnah Mohamed Hashim said Santamil has no locus standi (legal standing) to file the suit because she does not possess any letter of administration to manage the late private investigator's estate.
Santamil filed her appeal with the Federal Court in June this year, two months after the Court of Appeal struck out her appeal reinstate her RM1.9 million suit.
