After Umno Supreme Council suspended Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's membership yesterday, a former party leader, Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan has challenged the council to raise a motion for the suspension of party president Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
He said all council members, which he described as "boot lickers", should at least raise the motion temporarily, while investigations into scandals involving 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), RM2.6 bilion donation and RM42 million from SRC International Sdn Bhd were ongoing.
"Najib's image is tarnished and compounded greatly with scandals of corruption and abuse of power,
"The people's perception of Umno is of extreme disgust," wrote the former Batu Kawan deputy division chief on Facebook yesterday.
Khairuddin said the council no longer respected the wishes of party members for leaders to fight corruption.
He said the position that should had be suspended was not the one held by Muhyiddin as deputy president, as he was striving to uphold the truth.
"This is the result when Umno is led by imbeciles. It not only tarnishes their personal reputation, but directly damns Umno's reputation as well.
"The effects can be seen enough from the suspension of the deputy president. Muhyiddin, who won through elections by delegates across the country can easily be dropped for speaking up on issues related to well-being of the nation, religion and country, which includes Umno."
Expressing disappointment, Khairuddin predicted the Malay party was heading towards for its end.

"Umno is besieged by idiots, 'boot lickers' and weak-minded fools and headed for its grave. The future is glum for Umno."
