DAP MP reveals SD against Najib, backs Ku Li for PM

A DAP lawmaker has posted an unsigned statutory declaration on Facebook, which is believed to have been purportedly circulated to MPs.
The document stated loss of confidence in Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and to back Umno veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah to take over the leadership reins.
Contacted by Malaysiakini, Liew Chin Tong however refused to divulge details.

However, he said there is no need for Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Minister Tajuddin Abdul Rahman to claim that Tengku Razaleigh did not do this.
"This really happened. Ku Li (Tengku Razaleigh) is now being neutralised. I will see what is said after this and I will reveal more," he added.
Even his Facebook posting came with the caption, "For Tajuddin's attention".
Earlier, Tajuddin dismissed Dr Mahathir Mohamad's claim that it was Tengku Razaleigh who suggested removing the prime minister via a no-confidence vote and circulated the declaration among MPs.
"I didn't see anything being circulated. Not at all. Even my friends and colleagues, other MPs from Umno and BN didn’t talk about this.
"I should know if there was, but there wasn't. These are all stories created by Mahathir," he said.
Last week, Tengku Razaleigh had inked a declaration supporting the prime minister.
The three-page document on Liew's Facebook cited the Perak crisis which the Federal Court ruled in favour of the BN government.
The court ruling, it said, outlined that a prime minister who no longer enjoys the confidence of the majority should quit, unless the Agong requests the Parliament to be dissolved.
"As a responsible member of Parliament, I want to state that I no longer have confidence on the prime minister and his cabinet. Najib and the whole cabinet should resign.
"We need a leader who is well respected and accepted by the majority of parliamentarians. I then request (the House) to give full trust to Gua Musang MP Razaleigh as the prime minister," read the document. -Mkini
