DAP should have expected Bungalow-gate to blow up

YOURSAY | 'DAP has always been under Umno's attack ... why provide potential targets for them to shoot at you?'
The Analyser: Poor delusional old Lim Kit Siang. Obviously his inflated ego will not allow for the fact that the DAP is receiving the full force of the Umno attack simply because PM Najib Razak is now so confident of his position that he can afford to go on the offensive.
DAP will now get a taste of the venom that they have been dishing out over the past months. And it won't only be Lim and his son, Penang CM Guan Eng, who feel the heat.
But if you are going to base your politicking on personalities, you must expect to receive that which is as good as you have given.
Sans Blinkers: Politically-speaking, DAP has always been under Umno's attack. So what's new, Kit Siang? When you are aware you are always being attacked, why provide potential targets for them to shoot at you?
Anonymous 2401341456972027: As one who is non-partisan, I subscribe to integrity at all costs with regards to all parties.
As much I welcome scrutiny and investigation into Guan Eng's case, I find it disheartening that those supporting the government side is not making too much noise over the RM100 million which has clearly been swindled without any knowledge from those who lead the ministry.
Yes, if it is proven that the deal in regards to Guan Eng's bungalow is directly related to graft, let's condemn it. But then again, please don't close one eye on the other cases that are clearly an abuse of public funds.
SusahKes: It appears you are right, Kit Siang. If they can't successfully defend their own indefensible responses/replies on 1MDB, then go for deflection and smoke screen.
And guess what? The spotlight has indeed been removed in the past one to two weeks, away from latest, biggest news of the country: Time magazine's report that cited Malaysia as the one of the worst examples of global corruption.
So now we have Time joining The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), BloombergNew York Times (NYT), Australia Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) - they must be one grand gala of a coalition for a global conspiracy as claimed.
Sure, these guys have got nothing better to do...
Anonymous #31081882: It is quite clear that Malaysians want a scandal and corrupt free government. This is something that it is not possible from any BN component party, especially Umno.
Umno can have a concerted effort in attacking DAP, but all the good work laid out by DAP builds a solid foundation where even if Guan Eng goes, there is enough talent to take over.
I only see shady and corrupt characters in BN, and there is absolutely no talent to be found there. You can see it from the unsupported arguments that they raise in Parliament and the protection that they need from the speaker.
JomUbahUbah: All Malaysians and Penangites fully agree with and support what Kit Siang had said.
Why is it that nobody from the abusive BN component parties bark when Umno removed officials from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC)?
Hopeful123: The rakyat can see the difference between DAP and Umno-BN very clearly now.
One is fighting for the pride, wellbeing and development of the people and nation, while the other is fighting for survival at any cost, with their leaders desperately clinging on to anything to wipe out a clean and effective opposition.
The more they attack you, the stronger you grow.
Dikaios: Uncle Lim, show them what stuff you and DAP are made of. Remember the saying: "When the going gets tough, the tough gets going."
Hang Tuah PJ: What is a RM2 million compared to RM100 million and RM2.6 billion?
Rick Teo: Where did Wanita MCA Selangor chairperson Ong Chong Swen come out from? She didn't make any noise when RM2.6 billion went into Najib's accounts, and now she is making a lot of noise with Guan Eng's RM2.8 million bungalow.
Neutral Point: Ong, if you want to accuse anybody, you must show proof. Whether it is a big deal or a small deal is immaterial.
Let me ask you, is Najib's RM2.6 billion a big deal, and may I know if you have raised this issue or shown concern, including the rest of the MCA members?
Anonymous #7856234569: The only reason BN is making a big deal out of Guan Eng's house is to mislead people of Penang into believing the CM is corrupt. BN is trying to take back Penang, but making it worse because people know they are good liars.
In reality, there is no case as Lim had explained, and everything has been clearly explained to the media.
On the other hand, look at BN ministers' houses, they all look like palaces but Gerakan and MCA are not man enough to question them.
Mantra888: It would be more appropriate for Ong to look at her own backyard and see whether there is any "big deal". Better keep your peace than to let others brand you as "hypocrites". -Mkini
