THOSE WHO GOD WANTS TO DESTROY HE FIRST MAKES THEM MAD

So, like it or not, Najib may have to bury Mahathir and his sons if he does not want to get buried by his own supporters instead. Najib will need to demonstrate strength and show he is not afraid to bury Mahathir and his sons because a leader seen as weak will no longer be supported. And trust me on this one because I, for one, support Najib because he is seen as strong.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Ever heard the saying ‘those who God wants to destroy He first makes them mad’? Well, this seems to be what is happening to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. He is saying so many untrue things and downright lies (as if people cannot remember what it was like when he was Prime Minister for 22 years) that it can only be because he has gone mad.
This reminds me of the last days of Adolf Hitler when he hid in his bunker and ranted and raved as Berlin was falling all around him. Hitler acted as if he was still in control and was still directing the operations of his army that no longer existed (he was just literally moving toy soldiers around on a map).
In fact, boys of ten years old and younger were trying to ‘hold’ Berlin with outdated rifles against the tanks and cannons of the Russians. And they were mowed down like ducks in a pond, a sad sacrifice of lives just to create the fallacy that Nazi Germany still had an army and was still winning the war.
I can almost imagine Mahathir stamping his feet and jumping up and down and screaming with fists punching the air (like Hitler in his last days) about the latest strategy to bring down Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak. But the more Mahathir rants and raves the more he upsets Umno and the more Umno turns against him and the more he accumulates evidence to be arrested and charged for sedition and probably even treason.
Mahathir is asking Malaysians to rise up like Chin Peng and his Communist Party of Malaya CTs (Communist Terrorists) and bring down Najib outside the Constitution. Mahathir says that to save Malaysia we need to ignore the Constitution and break the law and become terrorists.
Would it then be okay for Malaysians who wish to save Malaysia by turning the country into an Islamic State with Shariah laws as the laws of the land to also form an IS (Islamic State) army and bring down the government through an armed revolution like what Chin Peng did?
And if not, why not? If Mahathir can form a Republican army and oust the government outside the Constitution why can’t others also form an Islamic army and oust the government outside the Constitution? And is this not what Mahathir is doing — forming a Republican army — since he wants Malaysians to force His Majesty the Agong to remove Najib?
Once Mahathir sets the precedence to oust the government outside the Constitution, he opens the floodgates for Malaysians to oust any government they don’t like by totally ignoring the Constitution. Malaysia has a law called ‘waging war against the Agong’ and the crime for that is death. Is Mahathir asking to be hanged like Saddam Hussein?
Mahathir not only puts himself at risk. He puts his entire family at risk as well. He has three sons who depend on the goodwill of the Prime Minister to stay out of jail. If the government decides to launch an investigation into how Mahathir’s three sons became billionaires without a doubt they are going to end up in jail.
The problem with Najib is he is too soft. And this is partly because of his upbringing and the fact he does not come from a commoner family like Mahathir. If Najib were even half like Mahathir, Mahathir and his three sons would have been sent to jail a year ago.
But there is just so much that Najib can do. Those surrounding Najib are not that patient and decent as Najib is. They want Mahathir and all his sons in jail. They even feel that Mahathir should be hanged for treason. It will come to a stage when Najib will not be able to keep quiet any longer without his own supporters whacking him.

Don’t insult us, Umno man tells Mahathir
(FMT) – Dr Mahathir Mohamad was reminded today that he was president of Umno for a long time, a party whose members he was now accusing of corruption.
Umno Supreme Council member Tajuddin Abdul Rahman said it was inappropriate for the former premier to insult party members by calling them “deaf, mute and blind” just because of their loyalty towards the party and its current President and Prime Minister Najib Razak.
Mahathir made this cutting remark about Umno members in his blog post today, claiming that bribes from Najib had rendered the Malay party’s members incapable of voicing their suspicions of their party president’s alleged wrongdoings.
“Don’t insult us like that. Umno members were the ones who stood by his (Mahathir) side and supported him during his 22 years as prime minister.
“I was there when Dr Mahathir was Umno president, when he was the prime minister. So what are we? Deaf? Corrupt? It’s not fair to insult us like that. That is not right,” he told reporters at the lobby of Parliament here today.
He also questioned Mahathir’s definition of “speaking up”, saying that Umno’s practice had always been to discuss any disagreement through the proper channels.
“How does he know whether we have been speaking up? Don’t tell me he wants us to shout by the roadside? We do speak up, but in appropriate places like supreme council meetings.
“We offer our opinions and advice. So he is measuring how outspoken we are based on his own approach. Do we have to join street demonstrations like him for us not to be considered mute? So if we speak in the Dewan Rakyat, are we still mute?”
He added that most Umno members had voiced their thoughts on current issues during its annual general assembly.
“We’ve seen how loud the members are when voicing their criticism, advice and comments.
“It’s disappointing that such remarks are coming from a fellow statesman,” the MP for Pasir Salak said.
