Hisham urges calm on talk T'ganu MB's titles revoked by sultan

Umno vice-president Hishammuddin Hussein has urged all quarters to remain calm amid questions raised over the possibility of strained ties between the Terengganu palace and state menteri besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman.
He said this in response to speculation that Terengganu's Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin had revoked all official titles awarded to Razif.
"I ask for all to remain calm. We do not know what is the real development (in Terengganu).
"As the former Terengganu Umno state-liaison chief, this is (also) something that we have endured before. Most important now is we must ensure, any elements that can divide us, we reduce it," Hisham, as defence minister, told reporters after the official launch of National Service 2.0 at KLCC in Kuala Lumpur.
"I ask, please don't be emotional, stay calm. Make sure the advantages (of any action) to the state liaison committee and the state (Terengganu) is greater than any individual interest," he said.
Asked whether Terengganu BN is in jeopardy as it only has a two-seat majority, Hishammuddin said it was not.
"We have proven in the past that if we prioritise the party's and state's interests, a two-seat majority is not something to be worried about," he stressed.
Including former Terengganu menteri besar Ahmad Said, BN now has 17 state assemblypersons, while the Opposition bench comprise 14 from PAS and one from PKR.
Ahmad had earlier last month filed a vote of no confidence against Razif, triggering rumours of yet another change of menteri besar.
The motion was however rejected by Terengganu state-assembly Speaker Mohd Zubir Embong.
