KUCHING: DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang apologised to Sarawakians for failing to ensure a “one-on-one” Opposition fight with BN in the upcoming state election.
“I apologise for the failure to ensure a straight fight with BN.
“There are six seats where we are having conflicts.
“But I do not want to talk about it. Wait for the elections to be over,” he said when speaking at a DAP ceramah here tonight.
Other speakers in the ceramah were local DAP leaders Wong King Wei, Christina Chiew, Violet Ang, Chong Chieng Jen and Abdul Aziz Isa.
Also in the speech, Lim went on to recount the 1MDB scandal and what he claimed as the failure of the administration to address the issue.
He urged the people to support DAP candidates so that they can “monitor” Chief Minister Adenan Satem.
Meanwhile, Abdul Aziz, who is contesting in Batu Kitang with PKR lawyer Voon Shiak Ni, avoided speaking on the clash with PKR.
He only spoke about the BN government and allegations of corruption.
State DAP chief Chong told the voters to support Abdul Aziz in Batu Kitang.
“Concentrate on giving the votes to DAP, to Aziz,” he said, without mentioning PKR.
