Meanwhile Over In Good Ole Pakistan . . . . .Lessons For Malaysia

THE ISLAMIC STATE’S PROSPECTS IN PAKISTAN ARE VERY GOOD

• March 27 IS suicide bombing in Lahore - IS’s growing influence

• growing sympathy and support for IS among Pakistan’s urban middle class

(My comment : Is the confused middle class in Malaysia exempted from this disease?)

March 27 bombing spark fears about changing character of IS influence.

attack killed 72, devastating nation, extremist groups moving into IS sphere.

by Jamaat ul-Ahrar (JuA) brutal spin off from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)

JuA declared affiliation with IS

Jan 2015, IS established Wilayet Khorasan in n'east Afghanistan

more significant threat in urban areas
Pakistan’s violent extremist founded upon Deobandi extremism

Deobandis emerged with charity NGOs and militant groups in 1980s

Sipah-e-Sahaba-Pakistan, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi-(LeJ), Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed.

coalition of Deobandi groups

support for Afghan Taliban, TTP coalition reconsolidated

anti-Shi’a sentiment could drive pivot toward IS

both in frontier and heartland, should IS succeed promoting anti Shia ideology

IS skill at recruiting educated, upper middle-class urbanites

IS has made inroads in both Karachi and Lahore in recent months.
Pakistan ill equipped to combat IS recruitment in urban centers.

Pakistan likely experience more IS activity in the near future

My comments : Pakistan is a screwed up country. They were infected by the Deobandis since before the 1980s.

I believe there was some Salafi influence into the Deobandis (who themselves have evolved into various militant groups with varying degrees of Salafi influence).

Salafi means Saudi Arabia.

Religion can bring very little development or economic progress to its adherents.

So in order to survive, religion needs hatreds and enemies.

Pakistan is already on its way to doom.  They have so many hatreds.

Now the Islamic State or IS has arrived.

The IS can tap into another one of Pakistan's intense religious hatreds - the anti Shiasectarianism and its accompanying violence.

The IS is anti shia as well.

The urban middle classes in Pakistan are said to be pro IS.

I think the same goes for Malaysia.  I blame it on the religious indoctrination.

Just like Pakistan, the Malaysian gomen also projects a strong anti shia stance. The IS will also exploit the same anti shia hatreds in Malaysia, the same as in Pakmistan.

The official anti shia policy will provide the IS their recruits. Just wait and see.

Dont say I did not warn you.

Plus the politicians will take advantage of the situation as well.

Dont say I did not warn you.
