Adenan: United bumi votes can help BN win in Chinese Miri

S'WAK POLLS BN can win in all three Chinese urban state seats in Miri, if all bumiputeras vote for the ruling coalition, said Sarawak chief minister Adenan Satem.
"Don't split the bumiputera vote. If all bumiputeras support BN we will win Piasau, Pujut and Senadin.
"That is my calculation," Adenan said in Miri today.
Adenan added a united Malay vote will ensure BN victory even if Chinese voters were split.
He was speaking at a rally in a hotel, where more than 1,000 people wearing BN blue or SUPP yellow had gathered to meet him.
Also in attendance were BN candidate for Piasau Sebastian Ting, and Senadin incumbent candidate Lee Kim Shin.
In Piasau, where DAP's Alan Ling currently reigns, 41 percent of voters are bumiputeras, and the remaining 59 percent Chinese.

In Pujut, where BN direct candidate Hii King Chiong is taking on DAP, PAS and an independent, 68 percent of voters are Chinese, and 32 percent are bumiputeras.
Senadin, where Lee survived the last election with only a 58 vote majority, is the odd seat out in Miri where only 44 percent of voters are Chinese, and 66 percent bumiputeras.
The split among Malay Melanau and non-Muslim Dayak is almost equal in all three seats, with the former having a small majority over the latter.
