Anything but BN, Wan Azizah urges voters amid PKR-DAP clash

S'WAK POLLS PKR president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail has urged voters to choose candidates that are not from BN in the Sarawak election amid PKR and DAP clashing in six constituencies.
"We hope voters wll vote for (candidates) not from BN," she told a press conference after a walkabout at Kampung Hilir, Sibu.
She added that despite the clashes, the relationship between Pakatan Harapan component parties at the federal level remains cordial.
She said this in response to a question about the ongoing clash between PKR and DAP in Batu Kitang, Mulu, Murum, Simanggang, Ngemah dan Mambong.
Despite an appeal by jailed former opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim for negotiations to continue in order to avoid the multi-cornered fights, the leadership of both PKR and DAP have indicated that they would like to move on.
Also present at the press conference were PKR's Nangka candidate Abdul Raafidin Majidi and PKR Youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.

Abdul Raafidin told the conference that his plan debate with BN's Nagka candidate Annuar Rapaee was aborted after the latter refused to participate.
Abdul Raafidin said he will be presenting his manifesto which will contain five key areas.
He said among them is a pledge to maintain his presence in the constituency, ensuring that victims of the Kampung Datu fire are compensated and defending customary land rights. --Mkini
