Azmin: Not right to wish for disaster to strike Najib

Regardless of political leanings, Selangor menteri besar Mohamed Azmin Ali today said he disagreed with any persons who wished for disaster to strike upon Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
"I am not aware of the allegations but I don't agree to such actions.
"As a human being, I do not agree to any individuals making such comments when any tragedy strikes. Please think of the feelings of their family members," said Azmin.
Azmin said this when asked for response to claims that there were Pakatan Harapan supporters who had made inappropriate comments following the helicopter crash incident in Sarawak on Thursday.
Among others, there were social media postings questioning why Najib was not in the helicopter bound for Kuching from Betong, instead of its five passengers.
Pro-Najib portal MyKmu.net yesterday slammed opposition supporters who made such remarks as having suffered from "otak rosak" (faulty brains) due to the "constant lies" peddled by their leaders.
Instead, the PKR deputy president said that it is only right for an individual to pray for safety of all involved in the Sarawak helicopter crash.
"When tragedies such as this happen, we can only pray for the best (outcome).
"That is what should have been done by any individual," Azmin told reporters when met after the launch of Selangorku's latest affordable housing project in Subang Perdana.
Search and rescue operation personnel had yesterday discovered parts of the helicopter and the remains of Plantation Industries and Commodities Deputy Minister Noriah Kasnon near the Batang Lupar river in Sebuyau, Sarawak.
Azmin said Noriah was safely buried at a cemetery near her home in Sungai Besar, Selangor, at about 3am this morning.

"I accompanied her body all the way to the grave... It was a mark of my respect and grief over the tragedy," he added.
Also on board the helicopter was Noriah's husband Asmuni Abdullah.
As of 8.30am this morning, personnel from the search and rescue operations has found a second body from the helicopter crash site, recovered about 10km from Lingga.
The other passengers were the ministry's secretary-general Dr Sundaran Annamalai, Kuala Kangsar MP Wan Muhammad Khairil Anuar Wan Ahmad, Noriah's bodyguard Ahmad Sobri Harun, and Filipino pilot Rudolf Rex Ragas. -Mkini
