MCA postpones party polls until after GE14

MCA today anounced that it will postpone its party polls which is due this year, until after the 14th general election.
The decision was made to allow the party room to prepare for the general election, MCA president Liow Tiong Lai said.
He told reporters this after chairing the 16th NCA central committee meeting in Kuala Lumpur today, Bernama reported.
He said the 11th Sarawak election yesterday showed a turn in the tides.
"It shows voters are tired with DAP's empty promise. They made all sorts of promises when they were in Pakatan Rakyat.

"Clearly the two-party system championed by Pakatan is in shambles. Squabbles between PKR and DAP (in the Sarawak polls) show they prioritise themselves over the Sarawak people," he reportedly said.
He said MCA is confident voters will realise this and reject DAP and its allies in the next election.
Once a political juggernaut, MCA was almost wiped out in the 13th general election and is now left with seven MPs and 12 state assemblypersons.-Mkini
