PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli lodged a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today on allegations that money and women were sought in negotiations with the Selangor government.
Rafizi was accompanied by Pakatan Harapan chief secretary Saifuddin Abdullah, Kelana Jaya MP Wong Chen and Kapar MP G Manivannan.
Rafizi, who arrived at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya about 11.45am, spent about an hour with the MACC officers before leaving.
Met after he lodged his report, Rafizi declined to divulge any information on whether the report was aimed at an individual or how serious the accusations were.
"I'm bound by the MACC Act, so I can't give any details," he said.
He asked members of the public not to speculate on the matter and to let the commission do its work.
"I ask that we be fair to the Selangor government and be fair to the MACC.
"We should just treat it as something normal. If there is a basis, then they (MACC) will continue (to investigate)."
The controversy surfaced after a WhatsApp conversation of the Pandan MP, in which he claimed to have received complaints on the women and money allegations, were leaked.
The PKR political bureau meeting had asked Rafizi to present his evidence to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
Selangor Menteri Besar and PKR deputy president Azmin Ali has dismissed the allegations, saying that it was part of a smear campaign.- Mkini
