Company GM seriously injured in drive-by shooting

One of two men on a motorcycle shot and seriously injured a company general manager as he was driving from Seremban to his office in Kuala Lumpur today, police said.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Amar Singh Ishar Singh said the 40-year-old executive was shot at six times, four times from the right side of his car and twice from the left side as he was driving along the North-South Expressway near Desa Petaling at 8.40am.

The victim took two shots on the right arm, two on the right side of the neck and one on the chest, he told reporters at the scene.
Amar Singh said the victim was sent to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital.
He also said that the victim had lodged a police report previously of having received death threats.
Amar Singh said police found five bullet casings at the scene, and had classified the case as attempt to murder.
