A plot not to topple PM, but to cover up 1MBD scandal

YOURSAY | ‘Someone ought to lodge a police report against Umno Youth.’
Quigonbond: Umno Youth is trying to create the impression among unthinking Malaysians that the US Department of Justice's civil action is rooted in “falsified” evidence supplied by Malaysian "insiders".
Too bad for them, it is such a farce. The monies were wired through different places around the world. US working with its allies traced the remittances and built their case on cooperation of probably all other countries except Malaysia.
This is not like George Bush Jr taking on Iraqi nuclear weapons based on spurious Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) intelligence. Money transfers have proper records.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Office of the Attorney General are already congratulating their team for a job well done in the largest kleptocracy seizure ever.
They wouldn't have done so with so much publicity if they know they have a flimsy case. This is nothing but revenge investigation for causing the "first family" having sleepless nights.
CQ Muar: This is another top-notched clown who hails from Umno Youth, hoping to bask in the limelight and the attention of the scandal-troubled Malaysian Official 1 (MO1).
However, why the sudden decision to lodge police report against the three - Bank Negara governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz, former attorney-general (AG) Abdul Gani Patail and outgoing Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief Abu Kassim Mohamed?
If at all, wasn't it their duty to raise the alarm over improprieties and irregularities for the sake of this country regardless of rank and position? Was exposing wrongdoing considered as trying to topple PM Najib Razak and the government as claimed by this obnoxious clown?
Must Malaysia continue to be dominated and ruled by corrupted opportunists? Did Umno Youth suspect DOJ's press conference was the result of a conspiracy by the three?
Cogito Ergo Sum: Zeti was one the most respected and prudent central bank governors in the world. She was highly respected and was very judicious in her answers relating to 1MDB.
Why would she do something irresponsible after a sterling service to the king and country, I wonder?
It is an outrage to even contemplate that she did anything that was not above board. This allegation reeks of utter desperation.
Moorthi_2e7f: Has Umno vice-chief Khairul Azwan Harun seen the "actual" documents which would have been classified under the Official Secrets Act (OSA)?
Charge the three of them in court and let them produce the evidence. Declassify all documents. Let's see if that would ever happen.
TimesAchanging: I think the damage is done... the DOJ's evidence and accusations are already out there. How could investigating these three people help MO1?
Nobody will believe that DOJ didn't verify everything they put in their indictment document. Many transactions were through the US financial system, which of course FBI can verify.
Chipmunk: Khairul, sorry to inform you that inspector-general of police (IGP) Khalid Abu Bakar has urged the public not to rush the police with regard to their investigation into 1MDB.
He said the police have to carry out the investigation in a proper manner. The investigation is still ongoing.
"Don't compare PDRM with other organisations. If you want them to do a good job, they have to do it properly. Some witnesses took more than a week or two to complete their statements because so many documents have to be checked and for them to explain,” he said.
So it looks like you have to wait for your turn and please do not speculate about Zeti, Abdul Gani and Abu Kassim.
But again, why worry..., after all it’s a civil suit and MO1 has yet to be named. So, there’s no criminal case so far.
FairMind: Who says Umno Youth are stupid and not thinking? In fact, they are doing this to pre-empt and stifle the US investigations and provide the IGP reasons/justification to crack down or refuse Bersih 5 rally which is calling for the resignation of the PM.
This is a prelude (toppling of government) to an emergency which will allow the PM a free hand for calling for ‘Operation Lallang’.
Da Analaiser: Can someone here lodge a police report against Umno Youth for defamation? While we are at it, can we lodge a police report against PM for selling the country to the Chinese?
Can we also urge the Red Shirt army to take to the streets to protest the selling our country to the Chinese in the railway project?
Aquinas Says: If this is a conspiracy to uphold truth and justice, then more power to all those involved, for a democracy can only thrive when truth and justice are upheld as pillars of good governance.
It is more likely that Umno Youth is engaged in a conspiracy to keep the truth from ever seeing the light of day. Someone ought to lodge a police report against them.
Oxymoronictendencies: Goodness. Brave move. These three people probably know a lot - and certainly more than most Malaysians.
People of integrity who have kept quiet until now. It’s best not to pull a tiger by the tail unless you want to risk getting bitten. Najib must be feeling very powerful with his imminent new powers.
Anonymous_1371550919: How low can you go? For once, please stop and think - think of this beautiful country. Think of the nice ordinary people.

Think whether you are able to answer to your own conscience. Think why you need to defend the indefensible. - Mkini
