LIM GUAN ENG HAS GONE RAVING MAD

Guan Eng is raving mad if he believes that a head of a Malaysian government agency is an innocent whistle-blower if he or she is involved in espionage and provides Malaysian government secrets to a foreign power.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
This was what Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said today:
Malaysia is spiralling down a dangerous path when Umno Youth lodged a police report against former Bank Negara governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz, outgoing Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief Abu Kassim Mohamed and former attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail for being involved in a conspiracy to topple Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and the Malaysian government.
Umno Youth vice-chief Khairul Azwan Harun even accused the three of providing confidential information to foreign agencies without authorisation, including the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
When will this madness end, where the innocent whistle-blowers are persecuted whilst the corrupt who stole billions of ringgit from ordinary Malaysians escape unpunished? Political parties can only do so much, it is ordinary Malaysians that possess the power to effect change.
But then they did do this — provide confidential information to foreign powers without authorisation, including to the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Abu Kassim himself admitted it in his statement to the press.
Guan Eng is raving mad if he believes that a head of a Malaysian government agency is an innocent whistle-blower if he or she is involved in espionage and provides Malaysian government secrets to a foreign power.
It is not the content of the information that is being questioned here. It is the act that makes it a crime and not the content that decides whether a crime has been committed.
The late Raja Aziz Addrusse explained it well when Ezam Mohd Nor was found guilty of violating the Official Secrets Act and was sentenced to a two-year jail term. The crime of breaching the Official Secrets Act is in the ‘RAHSIA’ stamp on the file or document and has nothing to do with the content itself.
Hence being in possession of government toilet paper is technically a crime if it is stamped with ‘RAHSIA’, argued Raja Aziz, never mind that being in possession of government toilet paper is no threat to Malaysia’s security. And the law does not even say who is authorised to stamp that paper or file as ‘RAHSIA’. So in essence the office boy can do that and you will end up in jail.
Did I not always say that the law is an ass (ass as in donkey)?
Today, The New York Times reported what US presidential candidate Donald Trump said (READ HERE).
“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Mr. Trump said, in reference to the private email server Mrs. Clinton used while she was secretary of state. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”
The New York Times went on to say:
Nations pursue their interests, whether other countries like it or not. Great powers in particular, including the United States, often meddle in foreign elections.
But such operations are conducted in secret because they are hostile acts, meant to subvert the will of the targeted country’s population and the sanctity of its institutions. Mr. Trump, in openly inviting such foreign interference, was undercutting one of the most fundamental national interests of a democratic state.
William Inboden, a University of Texas professor who served on President George W. Bush’s National Security Council, told Politico the comments were “an assault on the Constitution” and “tantamount to treason.”
So there you are. The New York Times has accused Donald Trump of treason and of being a threat to national security. And that would mean outgoing Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief Abu Kassim Mohamed, former Attorney-General Abdul Gani Patail, and former Bank Negara governor Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz have committed treason by their act of espionage on behalf of a foreign power.
So which part of espionage and treason does Guan Eng not understand? ‘Innocent whistle-blowers’ my foot! Guan Eng really needs professional help because he has gone raving mad indeed.
