Traffic crawl along major highways as of noon

Traffic flow along several major highways as at noon today was slow as people headed back to their respective hometowns and villages in view of Aidiladha and the school holidays.

A Plus Malaysia Berhad spokesperson said traffic was at a crawl from Bukit Lanjan towards Rawang; Behrang towards Slim River; the Menora Tunnel towards Sungai Perak; Jawi towards Bandar Cassia and from Permatang Pauh towards Sungai Dua due to the increased number of vehicles.

In the south, traffic was also at a crawl from Seremban towards Senawang and from Skudai towards Senai, he said.

Meanwhile, a Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) spokesperson said traffic was reportedly slow moving from the Gombak Toll Plaza towards Lentang and east-bound from the Karak Toll Plaza.
