Veteran who quit Umno a 'frustrated taxi driver', says Nazri

Umno supreme council member Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz belittled Umno veterans who quit the party yesterday, calling one of them a "frustrated taxi driver".
This was after Gelang Patah Umno permanent chairperson Baharom Abdul Ghani and Kulai Umno deputy chief Tosrin Jarvanti announced they were quitting the party at their respective Umno divisional annual meetings yesterday.
"They are people who no longer have influence and are frustrated. Tosrin had to be a taxi driver when he was not nominated to contest in the election last time.
"He is someone who is frustrated with his life. Frustrated people have no place in the party," the tourism minister told Malaysiakini.
Nazri claimed those who quit are eyeing Umno splinter Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), as they want to contest in the upcoming general election.
"If they remain in Umno, they surely cannot contest. But (Bersatu president) Muhyiddin Yassin will surely give them seats to contest," he said.

Nazri said Umno will not be affected by a couple of Umno grassroots members leaving the party.
"Even when Muhyiddin was sacked from the party there was no impact, what more when retired elected representatives leave," he said.

  1. Only those very wealthy ones remain. As for the "frustrated taxi driver" he must have gotten his licence from one of those Nazri missed when he was selling them en masse to connected people.
