BUNG MOKHTAR’S DAYS ARE NUMBERED: SABAH LEADER HITS ROSMAH’S SOFT SPOT – ‘DID SHE STEAL PUBLIC MONEY, DISRUPT PEOPLE’S MARRIAGES?’ : WHY NOT CHECK 1MDB MONEY TRAIL, ASK NAJIB’S FIRST WIFE, BUNG

An Umno lawmaker questioned what the prime minister’s wife, Rosmah Mansor, had done to deserve the “insolent act” by several protesters during the Bersih 4 rally last year.
“What wrong has she (Rosmah) done?
“Did she steal public money, disrupt people’s marriages? No!” said Kinabatangan MP Bung Moktar Radin during his debate on Budget 2017 yesterday.
Bung Moktar was referring to an incident in which Bersih 4 participants had put a broom to a photograph of Rosmah and Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
“As a leader, we must show respect.
“If Bersih wants to do their work, go ahead, but this (act) just shows that they are insolent,” he said.
Bung Moktar (photo) also demanded Bersih chairperson Maria Chin Abdullah to take responsibility for the incident and urged inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar to take stern action.
“If Bersih follows the law to demand for electoral reforms, then it’s okay. That is allowed.
“But to bring a photograph of the prime minister’s wife and the prime minister, sweep it with a broom, that to me is an extremely insolent act,” he said.

To a question from Rasah MP Teo Kok Seong on whether action should similarly be taken against the Umno-linked red-shirts and their anti-Bersih rallies, Bung Moktar said he “walks in the middle”.
He also called for stern action against any rally in which the laws are broken.
Maria had previously responded to Rosmah’s aide, Rizal Mansor, who questioned her alleed silence against insolent acts during Bersih 4.
She had at the time said people have different ways of expressing their anger but it did not result in any physical violence against any party.
