Following her release from detention, Maria Chin Abdullah went through her mail for the last 10 days.
On her desk at home was an envelope. Upon opening it, the Bersih chairperson found a death threat and a bullet, with the markings indicating that it is a .45 Automatic round.
Written on a sheet of paper were the words, "Last warning if not RIP Marina [sic] & family".
Speaking to reporters in Kuala Lumpur today, Maria said she found the envelope this morning.
She believes the envelope was hand-delivered to her house on Nov 18, on the eve of the Bersih rally when she was arrested under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012.
"This kind of act should be condemned and the person who did this should be put in jail.
"I hope that some action would be taken by the police to arrest the person who sent this threat," she said.
This is the third death threat Maria had received in the run-up to the rally.
